Party Favors and PnP
I had to raise this subject due to our personal experiences at the clubs and when meeting other couples.
It seems that many newbies seem unaware that PnP(Party and Play) does take place in the lifestyle, and while some couples are open about their extracurricular hobbies, most hide it from their play partners.
We personally witnessed a few OD's at clubs, and been subjected to it, and, that's one of the reasons we won't play with others at clubs or parties. I would only drink from my flask and get a new drink if I leave mine unsupervised.
Communication is key when deciding to share intimacy with another couple, but what if they don't tell us and we don't know the signs?
So far, we met couples that openly admitted to using party favors while playing, at our last party we openly discussed street drugs usage(cocaine) and their impact for over an hour. Of course the persons that admitted using denied they are addictive or dangerous, since they were casual/responsible users LOL..
We have also saw the signs of drug use from people that denied using.
420, alcohol, cocaine, ketamine, ecstacy, MDMA, GHB(roofies or the date rape drug) are some of the drugs that are used frequently by some of our naked friends, with or without our awareness or consent, and what's scarry, while thinking they might be doing us a favor to loosen things up, they could be using it on us.
Please give us your honest input about how to ask or spot the people that might or not want to divulge that they like a fix while playing.
Other sites have a profile question about drug usage, ST doesn't.
So how do we make an informed decision about who we would like to play with or avoid playing with. How do you know to say "NO", when, caught up in the moment you hear from someone you like: "here, take this, it's 100% natural, I got it at a health store". How do we know if someone is using steroids?
Let's face it, these are concerning questions, some of the swinger's forums address them, but it seemed to be a touchy subject here.
In terms of dangerousness, here's again a study conducted in the UK:

While Lulu is allergic to alcohol and doesn't smoke, I drink alcohol, I smoke cigarettes and cigars, and we both like Alkyl Nitrates(poppers) during sex and don't see them as dangerous since they're sold over the counter in any sex store. We ask couples if they do it or would like to try, and while some seemed scared shitless, others are familiar with them. We can't stand the smell of weed and what it does while smoking, however, while in Amsterdam we did it so we can brag about doing an illegal drug legally LOL...... Also MDMA and Ecstasy seem to make a huge come back, and it's scary that a bad batch of Ecstasy is killing people in Canada for weeks now.
Please don't mention names if you don't want to, however, let's all pitch in this topic and help each other avoid something that could be harmful to us, especially if done without our knowledge or consent. This is an omnipresent danger when sharing intimacy with strangers, just like STD's or HIV.

OK, I'll start then.
We know of a few vanilla couples that are family friends with us that admitted that once/twice a year, they'd leave the kids with a sitter/family, book a hotel room and do coke for the weekend.
It was funny when Mr. next door neighbor mentioned how hot and horny Mrs. next door neighbor gets agter he rubs cocaine on her clit. The conversation occurred in my garage while I was shit faced on booze, and they both shared a dubbie. Then he moved on to saying that if we're interested he can hook us up with anything, and telling us not to try Ecstasy(Lulu did it once in college and loved it and we were thinking of trying it together on a hotel weekend).
Also, it is quite common that at a family BBQ some of our guests would go for a walk to smoke a dubbie, a joint is passed around at a hot tub party or the funniest sh!t, once, we had a beer with our pizza lunch on a remote job site, and the new guy actually lit up a joint. His ass got fired on the spot and he didn't comprehend why a beer on a full stomach over a 1 hr lunch was less dangerous then his joint...... |

I must lead a very sheltered life, I've only ever drank booze, mind you in my profession, we get drug tested on a regular basis and I'd get my ass fired in an instant if caught. |

Ramjett, this is EXACTLY why I raised the topic. Too many people are unaware of the signs.
After becoming aware of it, now we got a little more informed. It is amazing how many upper class people are into more than just booze, we were both thinking that prescription/street drugs are used by street junkies.
Not at all the case, now we know why people asked if I'm a cop, all along I thought I resembled Wyatt Earp...... |

I have loads of friends who do and I just leave to it, as much as I don't care either way, my job and no I'm not a cop either, requires me to be able to function at a capacity must people never reach, it's easy to spot in a radom testing especially as it last the longest in your hair believe it or not so yes, I'd get my ass fired in a shot lol |

Swingers don't do random testing, and, some people are completely shaved. When is the last time you took a test kit to a swingers club/party?
We are left with taking other people's word, and spotting the signs of them being honest to us.
I remember being single and convincing girls that anal sex is very good for them. And if done right, it can be pleasurable, however, good?
Not an issue if we are willing to accept or be part of PnP, however, what if we also lived a sheltered life and are completely unaware of it? |

Not my thing and I haven't seen more than pot anywhere I have been so I can't really comment.
We also do not go to on premise clubs so I guess this is just another reason I will continue not to try them out. |

We don't go to swingers clubs! All we do is smoke cigarettes, drink beer(Tator does drink jd, not me)! Yes, we have met some people that smoke pot. We don't hold that against them, just don't do it in our home! Now, I wouldn't say our lives are boring, but we don't need the illegal drugs to be happy! xoxo Shirley |

I did a training for freshmen girls at UMass for several years basically saying the same stuff you just did.... it's amazing how naive our society can be, even worse when other people choose to involve you without your consent.
I do not like going to clubs for many of the things raised in this post. Drinks, can't trust them on the counter even to turn around and talk to a neighbor...smoking, don't puff around me I'll have an asthma attack.... and the illicit drugs like GHB and Rohypnol are dangerous and even deadly (did ya'll know some people manufacture theirs with Draino and rat poison)
